Do you think you’ve already reached the peak of your success in life when you reach the college level until you suddenly realize that you have forgotten something or something seems to be missing. Do you experience the nasty feeling of emptiness and hunger inside of you? Do you experience the feeling of being alone in a new and strange place the returning college students and faculty usually call a “home away from home”? Then this is definitely depression and a longing for something to make you feel loved and complete.
By this point in time, you are probably fantasizing of meeting your dream man or prince charming in college. Maybe in the last century people met their future spouses in college and yes, sometimes, it does happen but nowadays, if you’re hoping for a Romeo and Juliet romance, think again! However, I say that you must not use that someone you meet just to keep you company just because you feel homesick. College life is definitely hard to adjust, and so does engaging into relationships. It feels like you are setting the clouds in the horizon, but you cannot hold them any longer because they will still one move from one place to another.
Reality check, college relationships these days are like wild fires that easily spread but does not last that long. Most college relationships are not serious, no offense for that. That is why it doesn’t last. These relationships are no longer based on similarities and compatibility, support and understanding. Right now, a college relationship is like a sport whose purpose is to see how high you can “score” or what guys typically call “practice”. It is all about the game and if you don’t know how to play it, then your relationship is doomed.

When you enter College, you also enter the world of vices and bad influences. It is just up to you if you will stay there or you will find away to avoid such wrongdoings.
We cannot deny the fact that there is really peer pressure happening when you get into College. Since you also wanted to have a lot of friends and you don’t want to get bullied or become an outcast, you tend to go along with the bad students and learn to drink and smoke, and even engage into illegal drugs. Now the question here is that, “is drinking on college campus really that widespread and is it dangerous as it is said by media? This article will simply explore the problems and solutions of today’s college binge drinking culture.
The old joke about going out drinking to kill a few brain cells may not be so funny anymore because this issue can be real. Those who drink could be risking a serious damage to their brains and when the students are binge drinking, this also means that they are also risking their future success because they might not do good in their studies once their memory is affected or their brain is damage. According to a newest research study, young people, most especially college students, who binge drink could be risking serious damage to their brains and increasing memory loss later in adulthood. In addition, adolescents may even be more vulnerable to brain damage from excessive drinking than older drinkers.
I don’t really get if what’s the point of drinking too much by these college students. They must have problems why they drink too much? Or maybe they are just doing this in order to have fun? Whatever their reason may be, they must simply keep in mind that if they wanted to succeed and finish college soon, then they must avoid binge drinking and must focus on their studies instead.

Getting ready for college is never easy. At the very beginning of your senior in high school, you must already start to prepare for your college application and start working on your college admission requirements. And the very first thing that you need to work very hard at is your GPA. Your GPA can become a key part and can contribute greater weight to your college admission requirements because most colleges and universities usually look for students who are smart and intelligent.
Why is it very important for a college to look at grades from different high schools during the college admission process? It is because most schools just want to have students who pay particular attention to their studies and see to it that they have good grades.
Many colleges and universities set a 3.0 as a baseline for freshman and transfer admission, though they might still consider students with lower GPAs. However, you don’t have to rely with this standard because it is still good to have good grades, above average or at least average grades, to be admitted in high standard colleges and universities. The trouble is that the GPA measure is usually imprecise and hard to compare because high schools differ in GPA standards and grading systems. Thus, as you climb on the college selectivity ladder, you will be finding colleges expecting the B as a minimum GPA, and then evaluating thousands of applications from students with B+, A-, and A averages.
Upon evaluating your present status right now in your senior year, do you think you are now ready for college? Do you think you have the GPA that most schools are looking for in a student? If not, if you are not that confident enough that you will be accepted in the college or university you wanted to study at, then you still have time to work hard on your grades.
